Kirby Derby Day #10: A decade of derby!! takes place on Saturday June 25 from 3pm til kinda late. All the Events happen before dark, and then we mill around and listen to music, dance and maybe have a drink or 3.
LOCATION & PARKING
Our neighborhood is located off of Western Blvd near-ish to NC State. Turn onto Bilyeu, which is across Western from Pullen Park. The party is on Kirby St. Here is what the googler says.
Parking is challenging. Kirby Street is, of course, closed to parking. It would be silly to try. A small portion of Bilyeu has parking on one side of the street, but it fills up fast. There is parking if you drive down Bilyeu past Kirby and into Dorothea Dix, although we cannot state that you can legally park there... You could also try the little access road across Western, or...worst case scenario?...park at Mission Valley and walk the Greenway back to the neighborhood (maybe a 10 minute walk).

Bring yer own Beverages. It's gonna be hot. And a perfect day for adult and family-friendly hydration.

Will there be porta pottys?
yes. there will be 1 porta potty. We have had only one each year and that has served everyone well. thanks!
Will there be beer vendors or can you bring your own?
Please bring your own. There will be food n soda but not alcohol for sale on the street. Everyone is responsible for their own cocktails on the curb.
